Manage day-to-day operations of the express delivery service, including coordinating pickup and delivery schedules, optimizing routes, and monitoring performance metrics.
Lead and motivate a team of operations staff, including drivers, warehouse personnel, and administrative staff, to ensure productivity and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, delivery accuracy, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as needed to meet or exceed targets.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs while maintaining service quality standards. Implement changes and monitor their effectiveness.
Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers, such as courier companies and suppliers, to ensure timely and reliable service delivery.
Oversee inventory management processes, including stock control, replenishment, and inventory accuracy, to support efficient operations and minimize stockouts.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement measures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers.
Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries, complaints, and service issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a positive customer experience.
Develop and manage the departmental budget, including forecasting expenses, monitoring costs, and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare regular reports on operational performance, including KPIs, service levels, and financial metrics, and present findings to senior management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5-8 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the logistics or express delivery industry.
Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and logistics software.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse and transportation operations.
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
Fluent in English. Additional language a plus.
Eligibility to work in Jordan.
